What can I do?

There are many things that the members and friends of our church community can do to aid in our search.

Many of you filled out surveys, from which we are currently compiling the results. Another very important action you can take is to participate in a Cottage Meeting. The information that we gather from the surveys and the deeper conversations we have with you during our Cottage Meetings are really the heart of this search.

If you were not able to fill out a survey, that is OK! The Cottage Meetings are still well under way, and we will be conducting them until June 5. Many of you have participated in a meeting already through your branches group, and we will be opening church-wide meetings very soon.

Feel free to attend more than one meeting, but we do ask that you do try and allow those who have not signed up for a meeting to do so. Because we are having our meetings via Zoom, there will only be 7-9 slots per meeting. We are going to schedule them on a wide variety of days and times in an effort to accommodate as many schedules as possible.

If you feel like you were not able to answer a question fully, you can email us to add to your answers.

Starting June 2 and going through June 30, will be holding Focus Groups. These will be similar to the Cottage Meetings, but each will focus on a specific demographic of our church. Some of these include, people of color, LGBTQ+, parents of present and former youth, volunteers, and so on. Once the meetings are posted, please let us know if we’ve left you or someone else out. We know we are imperfect, and we really want to hear all of your voices!
